Once again the week has got away from us and we forgot to blog. Were working on becominmg more regular :) Anywho onto bussiness. AUUUUSTRRRALLLIIA DAY where we were invited to bbq by some of our lovely aussie sheila's. A day of ridiculous accents, cricket in the street and unaustralian enough, beer pong. Australian of the day goes to a man named Ben, who we recently found out isn't called Ben at all, cheers mate. However the title still holds. Moved hostell and we are now in the middle of the city, Surrounded by Swedish and French! All is well and good though, we still can't understand the french but we have our own personal Sweede, Philip Widerstrom, the Swedish ninja. An ode to Phillip should be coming up soon!
We have managed to find some day by day work and trust me, labour in 40 degree heat is brutal. Still fun though, Ru and Phillip were laying the floor for a big festival and we all did some removal work. Pat's Driver is an amazing Ausie who is basically an englishman stuck in an Ausie's body :) George is the name and smoking, swearing and one liners is his game! The hostel has turned out to be really good though, Phill and Pat managed to win Bingo and Pat cracked under preasure and came second in the pool competition. There is a big rooftop area where everybody party. We spent a night chilling with an Mauri called fitz who, if you love a bit of Summer Heights High, would have changed your life :) Basically listened to Jonah all night!
Not really to sure what the plans are for the next few week but earn money and drink sounds tempting. Not in the near future, but we are hoping to go to the Northern Territory, every pic we see looks like something form a movie. Also highly anticipating out three day road trip down the Great Ocean Road :) neither of us has had a camera for two weeks, sorry guys we'll sort it out!
Much love from downunder, I wonder what the weather is like up top X

Week one: NO DRAAMAA (In an Ausie accent)
Hello from down under :)
STRUUTH, week one's been a bloody bleedin beaauuty if you don't count Pat's puking, onset of tonsillitis, Ru's Spider bite and the fact that he's $20 down from the casino! As this is our first blog it's going to be a bit of a sum up of the week. Were busy looking into apartments so hopefully we'll be settled soon and the updates will be far more regular. Majority of the week has been watching the Australian Open and recovering from the jet lag, however highlights are as follows. Had a Fund-raiser for the Queensland floods at our hostel. Four grand was raised which we contributed $60 dollars between four people for a three day car hire. ROAD TRIP down the great ocean road coming up :) Courtesy of Safari Pete, best Australian in the land. Basically cured us of the hate of the Australian accent. That man has a Kangaroo loose on the top paddock (Zoe). First day round the city was sweet, Melbourn is an amazing place where all four seasons can be found in one day. For those of you who know her meeting up with Minty again was amazing, Ru was introduced as we met up for coffee in a lovely little cafe. Melbourne is not what we expected at all, the lack of high rise makes it feel like a very large town and the inner city is bustling, more cosmopolitan than Bangalore and filled with zoom and ticking sounds of traffic lights as they turn green. Caught the good weather as last week was rainy. A hole is the ozone layer mean's that even with factor fifty and a shirt pat still gets burned. Russell's tan coming on a beauuut. Didn't stop us from having an amazing day of Cricket with the lads, pier jumping and eye candy on the beach, which must be said was highly underestimated. It's been lovely meeting all the new people best of which is the Sweede Phillip, second name name unknown :s. Anyway's stay tuned for the next episode of Ru and Pat's Bogus Journey. Australia day is on Wednesday, were starting early and eating is cheating :)
Love from down under, bet you're Screwing. X
